We also are planning a four-day trip to Monterey in early August, likely Thursday-Sunday, the 9th-12th, for which we're seeking 2 crew and accompanying boats.
Just came back from a try at the Farallones. A tad too windy and lumpy: 25 gusting to 35, 7 feet at 7 seconds. Downwind on jib alone felt WAY too much better. Motored north of Potato Patch with no wind, got hammered five miles off. Have a great trip, I've got some engine work I need to do before we try again.
