Title: zinc anode
Post by: gerard on April 24, 2009, 12:29:52 PM
I have received the wrong zinc anode from my dealer (Universal #301068   1/2").   I need a zinc anode 3/8".  Can anybody provide me the correct code number for a Universal zinc anode?

Based on this thread: http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,4279.0.html  the # appears to be correct.  I'm not quite sure what you mean by 3/8 vs. 1/2.  These zincs are not necessarily particular to the HXs on our boats.  You should be able to find a good chandlery that has a variety of zincs for your to choose from and not have to order them at greater expense, from Universal.  I searched on "sendure" a key bookmark for all of us with HXs.   :D

Gerard : Go to any Marine supplier in the Netherlands and I'm sure that you can find a 3/8" Zn.
You have the holder (threaded portion) so only buy the Zn itself.  I always carry a extra or two.
