Title: the flag on Apache
Post by: agbenoit on April 26, 2004, 08:35:25 PM
I tried sending the following to Ron Hill via email, but it was returned undeliverable.  Perhaps other C34ers would be interested as well anyway:

Hi Ron,

I saw the picture of Apache in the C34 gallery.  You are flying the flag in the right place--2/3 of the way up the leech.  Do you have a flag halyard on your backstay or some other arrangement?  Are you happy with it?

Thanks for all you do for the C34IA.

Tony -

Ron changed his e-mail address some time ago because of spam overload. This is what I have for him currently: [email address deleted by request -- Dave Smith, Webmaster]

Here is a link to a good article on Flying The Flag (http://www.sailnet.com/collections/articles/index.cfm?articleid=rousma0041) which covers the position and attachment of the ensign on a recreational sailboat.
