one of the water heater hoses from the engine are are leaking. How can it be replaced?
West Marine has them and their price is better than I found by going to "local" hose shops.
How does one go about replacing a water heater hose from the engine? Can a new one be pulled through? It does'nt look promising.
Ken
Remove the hose from the engine end. Cut the end to make it square and straight. Insert a barbed hose splice into the end. Push the new hose on the other end. Apply a piece of duct tape to the splice, 1/2 on each hose. Have your helper pull on the old hose as you feed the new hose through the passages. Once the hose is in place, attach the new one. The procedure may require some lubrication. I used detergent to ease the way. Good luck.
After the hoses are replaced. What is the procedure for bleeding the air from the new hoses, etc.?
Thanks, Dave
