Title: radar

Haven't seen anything recently on radar mounting options.  Thinking of Questus on backstay with hydraulic leveling.  Any thoughts or experience?

I mounted mine on the mast using a mount from Kato Marine.  The thingy on top is my "bird discourager" (dry deck and zip ties). Works great!

Our boat came with the radar mounted on a separate mast at the stern. In the seven years we've had the boat I think we used it once, and played with it twice. To support the mast there is a diagonal pole that makes the use of the starboard stern seat difficult for anyone other than a child. We played with the idea of moving it to the mast, but the cable required is no longer made and you'd be left trying to by a used one at a premium from someone online.

If you need one and have a chance, I'd put it on the mast as well.
