Title: Exhaust Hose Replacment Difficulties
Post by: kss1220 on June 16, 2003, 11:11:20 AM
I am getting very frustrated at trying to replace my exhaust hose that goes in-between the water lift muffler and the stainless steel manifold.  There is very little room to work and trying to fit the hose in such a short span does not make it any easier.  Those of you that have done it please share your wisdom and insight of how to do this nasty deed.

The metal riser is threaded in at the engine end so you can screw it in a little by exerting some pressure at the hump hose end. This will give you some more clearance.

For getting the old hose off, I just cut it off in the middle, allowing me to torque and cut each end separately. To put the new hose on, I put a little vasoline around the inside of the hose to help it slide on. Definitly a small space to work in!
Good luck

Kelly

Try this, I think it's what you're trying to do.
