Hi Everyone,
I noticed that the sheaves on both of our jib track cars are badly worn. Garhauer seems not to make the more massive ones that were original equipment back in 1987. They do sell T track cars: http://garhauermarine.com/search_process.cfm Does anyone know the current replacement?
Here is mine:
Bob, they make much nicer ones now.

We got the heavier ones, LLC and 40-40 UAB (NOT these two in the links - you'll have to find them on Garhauer's website), one each on each side leading back to our foot blocks, which were not standard on the Mark Is. We have two to keep the fairlead from scraping along the bottom of the dodger.

Bob,
I have both the current model track car single blocks and the low lead cars. I like the stand ups slightly better, but both are great products.

Take the opportunity to upgrade to line adjustable Genoa cars.

Hi Stu,
Thanks for the info. I had found the Garhauer page, but I did not know which one to buy. The 40-40 US looks like one I should get as the price is right. A search of the site could not find 40-40 UAB. The LLC-3 & LLC-2 might work, but I think I will buy the 40-40 US unless someone advises me not to.
Cheers,
Bob

Bob,
The 40-40 UAB is on the same GhM catalog page as the 40-40 US (polished stainless), 40-40UAG (anodized aluminum gray) and 40-40 UAB (anodized aluminum black). They are the same price,, just a matter of what look you want (and of course the stainless isn't going to have the anodized coating that can get scratched off if beat up.)

Thanks Ken. That is what I will do.
Bob : I'd go with Caio's advice and at least look at the movable genoa system.
no more getting out of the cockpit to move that genoa car forward!!
A thought
Bob, the front block of the moveable system is the LLC. It is NOT a stand-up block.

It's the EZ-G-3
The owner of S/V Lazybones is being economical with his personal information (his privilege) but I would be surprised if his name was "Ciao Tutti" a phrase which meant "Bye all" when I was last in Italy.

So I wonder how many folks never realized that Kojak's "Ciao, baby" isn't at all "Chow, baby" and has no relationship to the bread line? :donno:
