Title: Furling control
Post by: kmorton16@comcast.net on February 28, 2003, 07:23:14 PM
I added furling control hardware to Trident-1300.
A Garhauer turning block and clutch was placed on the outside track. It is a big help when the wind gets above 15 knots.
E-mail if you would like a picture.

Hi Ron,
Is the system you refer to for furling or for the genoa sheets?

Ron: Thanks for the description of the movable car system. I will send you a picture of the clutch and turning block that controls the jenoa furling. Ken

I would like to take a look at the pic also.  This sounds like it would be useful in taking some of the load when reefing (partial furling) the genny.
