Title: Steaming light
Post by: mregan on August 21, 2013, 11:30:33 AM
Anyone happen to know what bulb is needed in the original steaming/deck light on an 86 MKI?  Steaming bulb is out.  Was trying to get out of going up the mast twice if i didn't have to.

mr, you need to know what fixture you have first.    Take a pair of binoculars or your camera, find out which it is by looking in a WM catalog and go from there.

mre : My best advice to you is to purchase a single contact bayonet bulb and a festoon bulb at any auto supply.  The go up the mast with both in pocket (cheap insurance).

Also take up a can of "Tuner Cleaner" from RadioShack and some light sandpaper (to clean the contact/s).  A few thoughts

Hi,

I just change both steaming and anchor bulb this spring.  While the mast was down    :clap

This is what I ordered, mine was like this, Aquasignal

And LED bulb

Ordered one with cone and one with dimpled.
Just that I don't remember wich one used the cone, cause changed both anchor and running.  And they are not same type end.
