Replaced all fuel lines. Replaced filters. Yesterday I was up to the boat and thought that I would prime the system. The racor filter filled up slowly and then the pump kept on working. I let it run for about 4 minutes and then turned it off. Could not find any fuel leaks. I have the M25xp engine. I change the filters myself every year and it normally takes about 2-3 minutes to prime the system. Am I over looking something? Appreciate any ideas.

Was the bleed valve on top of the engine open? I'm guessing it was otherwise your filter never would have filled up...
Paul : What Ted is referring to is the thumb wheel bleed valve on the top starboard side of the engine. You might want to leave it "cracked open 1/4 turn" until you get the engine running.
You also might want to run the fuel pump and open the hex nut on the engine filter unit fuel comes out!!
In the future it's a good policy to only change one filter at a times as you are introducing air in to the system each time. Change one filter and run the engine, then change the other filter and run the engine, then change the fuel hoses and run the engine.

I replaced all the fuel line, all filter including the one on the pump. I did open the bleeder valve but did not open the bleeder screw on the engine filter. The racor filter filled but took about 4 minutes. Will be going up tomorrow and try it again.

You have a LOT of air in your system. Be patient. If necessary, open the nut on the secondary filter.

Thanks for the advise. Opened the bleeder value on the primary filter and the system is now working. I did fire up the engine on the hard.
