Title: air conditioning condesation pump
Post by: Jim Hardesty on March 06, 2013, 10:07:11 AM
Last spring I installed AC.  By the time it was running to my satifaction, didn't want to do anything but enjoy it.  I bought a sump box with a pump to take care of the condesation from the AC.  I like a dry bilge.  My question is,
Where have others run the drain hose?  Could run it back to where the bilge pump exits, but that's a long run.

Jim,
I have a "Condensator" from Mermaid Air.  Has worked well for 12 years.

Susan,
Isn't there a chance of the seawater backing up through the condensation hose and flooding the area?

Aloha..No,the salt water flows out fine and the outtake is above the water..Don't know where it would back up from? It has been working great.
