Title: Pressure cap on Universal
Post by: morgan4848 on January 16, 2003, 10:26:21 PM
I have a 1986 MkI with the Universal M25. As I was doing routine maintence on the Universal M25 I noticed a crack in the pressure cap for the cooling system.  There are no markings on the cap to indicate the pounds pressure.  I checked the manual and the tech notes with no luck.  Anyone know what the correct replacement would be?

My inventory list says:  ï»¿Engine: Coolant Cap Universal Installed 1/3/99 Use # SKE SK3516 small #14 DON'T Use #SEN6582 #15

I was given the wrong one originally by our local Universal parts dealer, and had to go back and switch to the right one.  If you have a local dealer, bring the old one in.
