I did the obligatory search and found that DEPCO is the place to shop for the impellor that I need for my 25xp oberdorfer pump but cannot find any reference to a model or parts #.
Anyone who has ordered, could you help me out?
N202M-15 is what I ordered for my Xp25 on 1988 Cat34
Also you can describe it as the mount has 5 holes, but only uses 4 of them to attach to the engine!!

Ok, I have read a lot of post regarding impeller's and different types. I have never experienced so much difficulty as I have regarding ordering an impeller for my c34 compared to any other part. I have the Oberdorfer pump, not the Sherwood. So far I have come across numerous makes of impellers such as Jabsco , Globe, and I have part numbers to go with them that I have discovered in manuals and various posts. But when I call distributors it's like I'm talking a different language.
I am trying to decide was is the best replacement impeller to go with. From reading other posts, people have replaced their impeller with a globe, only to have it crap out on them in the near future or have difficulty priming after the initial replacement.
So what is the concensus? What is the best way to go? And if you have a favorite, what is the part number?

I went through the same struggle a couple of months ago when I wanted to order a new impeller for my Oberdorfur raw water pump. Maybe slightly more expensive but assured of an impeller that works, I decided to order my impeller from Catalina Direct.

I had the impeller in just a few days and was assured of a correct fit. I used it as an example that I took to a local marine mechanical dealer (A to Z Marine here in San Diego). I found out from them that they stocked the correct impeller as well... I bought 2 more for considerably less. Afterwards I went about changing out the impeller and now I have 2 spares (and the old one) for replacements.
Bottom line... Catalina Direct will get you the right part quickly and comfortably... but not the cheapest. :D
Ordered mine from DEPCO this morning using Terry and Stu's info and had no problems.
Of course I don't have them yet so I'm assuming the're OK.
I have used the DEPCO impeller the last two seasons with very good results.

"Best" is hard to describe sometimes, but in this case it's pretty simple. Given the bad news about the Globe impellers, I wouldn't and haven't gone there.
I simply order the impeller for an Oberdorfer N202M-15 pump. I get them from a local Universal dealership. They've always been black, I have no clue who makes 'em, bu the haven't failed me yet in 14 years.
Caio : You choose your favorate, the blue Globe 815(Defender) or the black from Universal(DEPCO).!!
I replaced my impeller today, and the new one works great. I bought it from Universal Direct. I got the black (original) impeller. The keeper ring was tricky to put back in, but I bought clamp pliers from Sears for $10, and was in business. What was interesting was the the pump was full of hard, white crud. I cleaned it out, and put it all back together. At the end, I now have a leak from the shaft water seal! Bummer. Because of all the corrosion, I've decided not to buy a repair kit, but to just put in a new pump. $245 from Universal Direct.
Scotty : Take you old Oberdoffer and have it rebuilt and use it as a spare. Lime-A-Way will take off that corrosion!! A few thoughts

Scotty, the whole shaft comes out easily and is easily replaced. See me at the Catalina rendezvous and I'll show you how easy it is to swap shafts with impellers mounted. You can do the impeller on the shaft on the comfort of your saloon table! :D :D :D
Guys : On an Oberdoffer you don't really need that "C" clip, except it makes it easier to pull the shaft out. If you only need to replace the impeller just take a long nose pliers and pull out the old impeller.
To install the new impeller just line up the flat spot on the impeller and shaft, squish the blades and slide it on. Lightly grease the pump face plate and reinstall it. Which ever way you squish the blades doesn't matter as they straighten out when the engine starts.
A few thoughts.
