Title: throttle
Post by: kevMar on July 12, 2010, 03:47:03 AM
what would cause the throttle cable to slip?   When i throttle up to 2400 rpm's it will slowly start to go down to 2000 rpms. What is the adjustment to keep it from slipping.  1988 34 Catalina universal diesel. thanks for any help

This thread really help me out!  It turned out my problem was the friction nut, and a quarter turn took care of my throttle problem!

Here's a picture (from Ron) of the bolts that can be tighten to
increase the friction on the throttle lever so that it doesn't creep.

Guys : David meant BOLT (singular) for the friction adjustment.
Also note how the compass binnacle rest easily on the cockpit drink holder.  Thanks David!   :D
