Title: Forward hatch latch

I've got a Catalina 34, 1986, and have the original solid forward hatch. I noticed that when I lock down the hatch and tighten the latchs down against the locking plate that one will tighten so far then "pop" and loosen, not giving proper seal/closure. Is there a replacement latch available?

Mark : Call Catalina parts as the hatch for the 1986s was made by Catalina.

Do you have a fender washer underneath the toggle?

My wife has bought the toggle replacement parts (this has been her project) from Catalina Direct as referred to from Catalina. $80 for a pair of them.

I did not have fender washers on the system, I am supposing they would go between the toggle and the plate... ?
