Title: Strut-Pro in Washington DC maryland area?

Does anyone close to the Washington DC area, or between DC and New York, have a cutlass bearing removal tool I can rent?

I am looking to use it the weekend of Nov 7th.

Something like the Strut-Pro or home-made version of same (http://www.strutpro.com)

Bill : Fleet 12 Chesapeake Bay has a cutless bearing tool as one of the many tools in the "fleet tool box".  Any C34 Fleet 12 member can be use any of these tools.

Ron,

This sounds great.  I have registered on the web site, and also sent the forms to join the C34 IA.  How do I become an official Fleet 12 member ?

Where is the "tool box" kept and what is the procedure for borrowing them?

Is the cutlass tool the kind that does NOT require removal of the shaft ?

Bill : Contact Linda Dunnigan (301) 460-6214 to join Flt. 12 (I don't give out Email addresses on this form) and Hank Recla (703)491-7189 who manages the Fleet tool box.  

The tool we have is a Strut Pro that squirts the old cutless out the back and presses the new bearing in without removing the drive shaft.
