Title: companionway tape
Post by: Terry Forshier on July 28, 2009, 09:57:33 AM
I received the tape and went out and cleaned out the track. Applied tape on the bottom of the track slot. Slid open the hatch twice and the tape caught on the hatch and balled up. So what did I do wrong? 1988 C34

Terry,

Like youself I cleaned the lower track of all grease and grime.
I then cut the length of tape long enough that it was longer both forward and aft
then the leading or trailing edge of the sliding deck was. For the forward portion
of the tape i wedged the sliding deck up to allow the tape to be inserted.

Try again, the second or third time on a boat is usually successful :thumb:
