Title: Switch Replacement
Post by: Lance Jones on July 01, 2009, 09:27:23 AM
My Electrical Panel's Cabin Light Switch is going bad. Is there a direct replacement at WM or the like?

Call Seaward they supply them.  I bought two green lights and a handful of switches from them.  This assumes that you have those rectangular black switches on a "vintage" electrical panel.  One thread is this one: http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,4344.0.html

Great thread Stu. I'll try all of those suggestions culminating in calling Seaward.

Lance : When you call Seaward have the measurements of the switch.  The reason that I say that is because Catalina had Seaward use two differant size switches.  My 1988 has the "larger" switches, but I've seen some 1988s with the smaller switches.
Also, I have afew switches in the main panel that are not wired in - ie Windlass and I believe two unlabeled spares.  Once I used one of those switches when the propane switch went out until I could get a lighted replacement.
If you look on our web site, I sent in the pages which depict the electrical parts that Seaward stocks.
