Title: water under v-berth
Post by: sailaway on March 10, 2009, 02:16:14 PM
Question, When I run hard into the weather. Punch holes in waves. I get 2 to 3 gallons of water under the v-berth forward. Has any one had this problem.  I Think it might be the anchor locker hose. The only problem is I can't get to it. I have an water tank under the v-berth and main salon. No water tank aft. Hull number 95. Has any one had this problem. Thanks Charlie

Charlie : 2 to 3 gallons is alot of water!!
I'd first trying running water in the anchor well - that will tell you if the drain hose/connections are the culprit.  If all is still dry I'd then spray water on the bow area and try to find the thru bolt/ screw that is leaking by removing the anchor well Beckson plate and looking/feeling the wires/bolt bottoms.  Make sure that removable plate still has a gasket!  A 2 to 3 gallon leak should not be too hard to find.
Hope this helps
