Title: solar holding tank vent
Post by: gregbin on June 04, 2008, 07:22:47 PM
I thought I saw on this message board a couple months back (but I can't find it) a kit that is a solar powered fan that blows air in to the holding tank.
keep the holding tank well oxygenated ! and less smell.
If any one knows of this kit please let me know what it is and where you can get them?
thanks
Greg B

Greg, a search on "holding tank" got this one, fifth one down.  Don't know if that's the one you thought about.

I did stumble across this solar unit, all pre-packaged for $50:

Well, at $14 for the pump I posted, then the wiring, and having to buy a separate solar panel, then the setting everything up - I think this solution is better.
As for it not being as good as the AC, well who knows how much air it takes?  For $50 I think it a worthy experiment    In fact, I just ordered one.
