Just got in the water this week. I turned on my Ray Marine C70 and after about 45 seconds the screen "shook" and distorted and is now a wide gray bar with a few narrower black bands. I am afraid the screen went out - only my 4th season with this! I guess I'll need to pull the unit and send to Ray Marine...any experience or suggestions?
Chris, where are you based? Did you take it off the boat and keep it home during the winter?
I would suggest trying a couple of things first. If it worked for 45 seconds, then the screen may be OK, and you may just have a loose or dirty connection. I would try disconnecting and reconnecting the power supply cable inside the Navpod. If any Raymarine connector ois not well seated, it causes strange effects. Also make sure that your battery is well charged. If this fails, call the Raymarine service line. They are usually pretty helpful, especially with a new display like the C70.
