Title: REMOVING DIESEL ODOR
Post by: canuck on March 04, 2008, 08:43:16 PM
In the February issue of Sail magazine an article recommends the use of liqud Calgon fabric softener. Just wipe down the affected area, it's just that easy!

I saw the same article, but could not find Calgon Fabric Softener in the grocery stores.  The Calgon web site does not even have it listed, but recommends using Cling Free Sheets for fabric softening.  I wonder if the Sail Magazine article was in error and meant to say Calgon "Water" Softener was the product that removed diesel odors?   Bill

Can : I don't think it's just that easy, but I'll give it a try the next time I spill diesel.
I believe the best way to not get the diesel smell -- is DON'T SPILL diesel !!  :D

The April 2008 edition of Sail confirms it was an error, and has printed a correction: Calgon Water Softener is the product.
