Title: GARHAUER LD6-1 LIFTING DAVIT
Post by: canuck on December 13, 2007, 04:08:48 PM
I am considering installing this to the stern of our 2004 Mk II #1678. Any feedback would be appreciated. Are there installation positions that are better than others? I am thinking of putting it obviously on the port side but should the davit be mounted inside the stern pulpit or outside? I am thinking about possible interference with the shore power receptacle and where is the best place for mounting the base?

Thanks

A search on "davit" finds this among many others:  http://c34.org/bbs/index.php?topic=847.0

Can : Look in your Nov 2002 Mainsheet and you'll see how Bill Jenks mounted his on a MKII C34.
Don't try to "reinvent the wheel", just look in the Mainsheet Tech notes - they are loaded with answers !!!!    :santa

Thanks Stu, I am OK now. I pulled out my welcome letter dated June 12, 2000 and the old user name and password worked!
Thanks again. I will also speak to Garhauer as to their suggestions.
