Guys : We've always said that if you see Jim Cantore from the WX channel come into town:
1.  Pack up the car with kids/pets/important papers
2. Immediately leave town!!!!!!!
Good Luck Mike !    :abd:ike!

Thanks, Ron -

Actually Jan was flying out of New Orleans to Phoenix for a few days today (Sat), so I threw a couple of extra lines on Breezer and we left yesterday (Fri) to beat the rain.  The storm came ashore well to the east of Gulf Breeze so the effects were minimal.  Hope all our tropical events are as mild as this one was.

Chillin' in New Orleans,
Mike

I watched him one winter on TV - he was 50 miles away with a yardstick ready to measure the 48 inches of snow predicted for the Appalachian Mountains. There was only 1 inch on the ground and the snow never came. In two weeks he is the local town's Grand Marshall for the Autumn Glory Parade.

Yep.  I remember once he was down here out on the beach with a wind meter yelling, "Well, the wind's up to six knots!"  Must have been a slow news day...
