I do a lot of reading on the forum, and would like to say thank you. I bought my 34 back in early march, and did not know a whole lot about the 34's. There was very noticable vibration in the cockpit as well as down below. I thought the problem was alignment of engine and prop shaft. I began reading about the hump hose that comes off the exhaust manifold and goes into the aqua muffler. I decided to change this first, well after completion, cranked the engine and there was at least a 75 percent decrease in the vibration. Thanks again :thumb:
F : You should take some time and look at your CD of the Mainsheet tech notes that you got when you joined the C34IA. There is alot of information in those notes from 1987 as well as the Projects and other parts of our web site.
Welcome Aboard. :thumb:
Thanks for that info. I have read some of the tec notes and have made some improvements. I have not been sailing but a few years and like to do most of the work myself. i am sure that the deeper i get into the systems the more questions i will be asking. Thanks Frank
I have a new 6 inch hump hose made by TRIDENT, marine wet exhaust #272V VHT Silicone. It is too short for my application. I would he happy to give it away to anyone that could use it.
Let me know by this method or Email at <davis_707@yahoo.com> or 650-948-3461

Dave : Guess you missed the thread that I mentioned to Catalina(Jerry Douglas) that the MK I replacement hump hose needed to be 8-9 inches long. He said that parts would get some longer ones.
See if you can get parts to give you a "trade-in" for the longer hump hose? Worth a try :cry4`
Thanks Ron, I got an old one that is 9 inch and it fits fine. I just would like to give my 6 incher away to any one that may need it. Maybe no one can use it?
