Tried fitting the new radar to the old mast mount over the weekend. Anchor Bolt holes don't line up. Will need to make an adapter plate. I was thinking about using Star Board, but I have no experience with it. Is it strong enough to hold a 20# antenna in place without warping? Do UV rays degrade Star Board?
Another option is using an aluminium plate, but then there are corrosion issues.
Trying to reuse the original mount so I don't have to drill more holes in the mast.
Other suggestions?
Ken : Go with the Starboard. I've used it - it's strong and resists the sun's UV. I've always used the 1/2" thickness for many projects. :thumb:
