Title: FLYBACK 20-3 Battery Charger
Post by: Norris Johnson on January 13, 2002, 08:02:17 AM
Anyone had trouble with their Battery Charger? I have the Flyback 20-3 charger. It will
not go to the float mode. It use to go to the float mode (~1/2 amp). It continues to charge my two banks of 6 volt golf cart batteries at 7 to 8 amps. This will "cook" the water out of the batteries. I am going to contact the company.
Thanks,

Thanks Stu,
Good info! Sounds like the Statpower is the way to go.

My 20-3 died a few months ago, and I replaced it with a 30-3, since Catalina Customer Service told me they had been having a lot of problems with the 20-3 (something that ProMariner confirmed).

ProMariner sent it 48 hour express, and after installing it, I'm quite satisfied.  And the extra 10 amps recharges the batteries (a pair of 4Ds) faster.
