Hello
We will be in fort Lauderdale Florida for 15/04/07 to 15/05/07.
I'm from Qc Canada and i don't know anything about Catalina in florida.
I would like to check for factory parts for my C-34.
Do you know a Catalina supplyer near Fort Lauderdale?
A little sailing trip is welcome to... :sick
Fou : The Florida Catalina factory is on the west coast of that state near Tampa. The C34 is ONLY produced in California.
On your second question, call the Catalina factory and ask them what is the name of the Catalina Dealer nearest to you.
Another way to get the info about nearby dealers.Go to <www,catalinayachts.com> Hit on dealer location and put in your Zip code.
Very easy, Good Luck,
Dave
We spent about a year in the Ft. Lauderdale area and it is a fantastic area for marine supplies! West Marines has its "showplace" store there. Then there is Sailor's World for used gear. And just about every hardware and automotive store carries a wide selection of marine products. Even the grocery stores carry smaller sizes of prepared foods for the boater. And of course there is every imaginable supplier of sailors (we used Underwood), prop shafts and props, etc. Also, Catalina's factory is just north of St. Petersburg, an easy 3 to 4 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale. One can order factory parts and pick them up at the plant...and save substantially on freight! Then of course there is JSI, a great supplier of marine items and re-builders of masts...very near the Catalina plant. Finally, there are boat yards aplenty. Ft. Lauderdale is the place for marine suppliers. Good luck with the shopping.
Thank you all.
Bye
a few places of intrest.
sailorman (sailorman.com) is a used/surpluss store, on sr 84 near us1, west marine has a large store on us1, mc donalds ace hardware little further west on SR84, has just about everything.. and a BOW, boat owners warehouse a few more blocks west.
also note the airport and port everglades are next door, all the vendors that supply them are near SR 84, behind a landmark coffee shop 'lesters'.
also a boaters world, outdoor world/bass pro shops, and many more...
-BTW, what boats do they make on west coast fla?
