Title: Y valve
Post by: Fulvio on November 12, 2001, 11:26:31 AM
The other day I broke off the handle of the Y-valve between head, holding tank, and through-hull.  It had always been exceedingly hard to turn.

Can anyone please give me suggestions or recommendations about the replacement procedure?  I'd like to make the process as un-messy as possible.

Thanks!

I'd say it was 90% turned toward the holding tank position.  I've since used the head several times, and had no problems.  There probably is a tiny crack where the handle broke off, because occasionally a small bead of water seeps out.  But that's about it.

You mentioned "the hoses are ALMOST empty".  I didn't think about that.  How could I go about forcing them as empty as possible?
