We just sold our ' 86 Pearson 33 and purchased an '89 Catalina 34 - what an amazing amount of room below decks!! A few questions: Do Catalina owners drink less than Pearson owners? :donno: I can't find a good place to store wine and liquor bottles. Has anyone made modifications for this? We were thinking of perhaps transforming the wet locker into a pull out, like my trash cabinet at home - a bit larger trash basket on top, liquor below. Other ideas? Does anyone have other nifty ideas for modifications for storage. Saw some great ones on the "project" pages, wondered if there were any others not mentioned before we start cutting away!
Now, if it would just stop raining in CT!!!!! Kate
Beer, Soda's, Water, ice in a cooler in the cockpit.
White wine in the refrigerator (converted Ice box). It starts in the cooler then gets moved when the refrig is cold.
Red wine, liquor, mixers all share space in the bins behind the port settee. Ice in the cooler.
I have seen some salon table mods. One in particular removed the orig table and post. Added a teak table with drop leaves centered on the mast. The approx 10" wide center section had a removable lid allowing bottle storage under the table top. Sorry can't find the picture, site address has been changed.

Seems like you're on a wine binge here. :D
Please let us know your year and hull number to let us best help you. For instance, storage on Mark IIs is different than Mark Is, since the earlier boats have the black smoked sliding doors that run the length of the cabin, where the newer boats have the portlights separating the compartments.
