Title: Dink Values
Post by: Mike Denest on March 05, 2006, 05:16:57 AM
I have a 1999 American Sail 8' dink that I've decided to sell and replace with an inflatable.  So if you guys have any suggestions on it's value, I'd like to know.

Mike : I sold a hard 8' sailing dink last fall for $400.  It was a 1983"Sindbad" in very good condition and the sleeve sail was like new.
Hope that gives you an idea.  Alot depends on how it shows.

It could use a clean up but it's in really great shape.  Thanks for the number.  BTW, anything happening with Fleet 12 this season?

Mike

We also sold an 8 ft hard dinghy for $400.  Sorry I don't know its history.  It came with our boat when we bought it last year.  I put it up for sale the day we closed on the boat and it was gone in a couple of days.

Ron,
Thanks for the invite but Diane and I have designated a work weekend on Whisper to get it ready for the April 1 splash.  We'll be in the yard at Baltimore Marine Center taking care of business.  I am interested in meeting the Fleet 12 crew and activities so keep me posted.
