Title: Bed sheets
Post by: himarks on December 29, 2005, 09:34:47 AM
I'm looking for help with fitting bed sheets on my boat. Nothing I do keeps them stright and I never get a good nights sleep.

Has anyone found out how to get a good fit?

Bob : I've made fitted sheet for both the Vberth and aft cabin. Started out with fitted regular and flannel sheet sets.
The key I found to keeping the bottom sheet in place, is to use 3/16" shock cord rather than fabric store elastic.  The shock cord can be tightened to your desire (tie it in a knot) and holds it's elasticity.   :thumb:

Thanks to a very handy first mate we have a fitted V berth sheet set.  We laid out the cushions over a king size sheet, allowing enoungh extra for it to tuck under.  Heavy duty elastic sewn in  keeps them fitted fairly snug
