Title: Nav Station Instruments
Post by: Rick Johnson on May 27, 2005, 08:41:45 PM
OK, now that I have my 1990 C34, it's time to start making her my own.  The PO had Raymarine ST60 depth, speed and wind instruments at the helm.  I'm tying it all together by adding a Raynav 300 GPS, ST60 Multi and a Raymarine 215 DSC vhf radio at the nav station.  I'd like to mount everything flush on the vertical surface behind the chart surface (towards the head).  Does anyone know of any issues I should be aware of and most important does anyone have a photo they could share of their installation.  I really want this to look professional and not something slapped together.

Rick-

Here's another alternative that a PO did on my boat:

It's a teak plywood box on top of the closet aft of the nave station.  The top (also teak ply) is removable making wiring very easy.  There's still plenty of room for a small TV on top.
