Title: spinnaker halyard routing
Post by: sailon1 on May 15, 2005, 09:21:08 PM
I need to install a block and sheave to the crane at the masthead. Any suggestions on what to use? Also I would like to run the halyard outside the mast and close off the original entry point to decrease the amount of rain water coming down the mast. Any suggestions what fair lead blocks to use and if 3/8 line would be sufficient for my cruising spinnaker? Thank you for your help.

I have tried to find Ron's Mainsheet article on what he did, please let me know a better way to search for it or which article it was. Thanks again.

Joseph : I'm out cruising for another month, but it's in a Mainsheet article "The Nuttall Block" from 2or3 years back.  It's not in the online tech notes - yet.
You'll have to wait until I get back home in mid June and I can send it to you - it's on my other computer!!
