Title: Kubota equivalent
Post by: John Langford on August 18, 2004, 05:21:48 PM
Does anyone know what the Kubota equivalent of the Universal M35B engine is? If there is an equivalent, are parts generally cheaper if you purchase them from a Kubota dealer?

j : There sure is a Kubota equivalent (for the engine block).  The savings I've seen range from 50% to 75%.  The M35 is a V-1200 engine block.
Spend some time at your Kubota dealer and find out which one of their tractors use that engine.  The dealers usually X reference parts from the model tractor.

For the M35B I believe the engine equivalent is the 1305 E.  That is what is on the block of my engine.
