Title: CDI Roller Furling?
Post by: Kevin on February 22, 2004, 06:16:31 PM
Hi,

I have a Harken MKI furler that is needs replacement.  I'm interested in anyone that has experience with the CDI Furlers.  The cost seems great... what are the down sides?  The boat is used mainly for day sailing and long weekends up and down the West Coast.

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,

Don't know your circumstances, but have you considered re-building/overhauling your Harken furler?  Harken's product support has always been good.  Might be worth a call to the tech support folks at Harken...they've got a good website at www.harken.com (http://www.harken.com). Using the same furler will also minimize the requirements for re-running fairleads and other new hardware.

Best of Luck,

Mike
