It's time to do a good wax job on my 1987 model and I'm not sure if it's time to use one of the restorers. Does anyone have experience using PoliGlow or Microshield vs. wax?
We used to use PoliGlow on our 1979 Hunter 30 for 4 seasons. The hull looked great. Make sure you clean the hull thoroughly first. It's very easy to apply. It dries quickly but it does run if you're not careful. So keep an eye on that. Toward the end of the season you can notice the beginnings of some yellowing. We applied upto 10 coats and got lots of comments on how good our 'old boat' looked. All in all, we were pleased with the job it did.

It's a lot of reading, but probably worth it since Herb mentioned "yellowing."
We have found GREAT success on our 1986 hull with Collinite cleaner and Fleetwax. The cleaner is in a thin, tall plastic bottle, the wax is in a metal jar. Absolutely gorgeous results. Did it by hand, because I've not purchased a buffer and didn't want to get streak marks on the hull. One of these days I'll learn to use power tools, until then, good luck.
