Propane line run?

Our boat undoubtedly had an alcohol stove/oven back in the day which the PO replaced with an origo alcohol stove. That stove worked OK but we decided to install a microwave and propane stove similar to what you may have seen on Kindred Spirit. Last year I installed the microwave which we have been very happy with. We ran an extension cord to the microwave because I wanted to make sure we were happy with it's location before I started drilling holes to mount an AC receptacle behind it. Again we are very happy with the microwave and use it all the time while plugged into shore power so installing a proper receptacle is on the to do list in the next couple of weeks.

The new stove top has been bought and the framing is finished and it is ready to install. The question is for those of you that have a gas stove, how is your gas line run to your stove? I really don't like the idea of drilling holes anywhere unless I'm absolutely certain where to put them and why.

I'm nearly finished with the propane locker and have everything on hand to finish that up and get it installed and wired. Still need a propane detector so if you all have a suggestion on one you like let me know.

Here is a picture of the microwave install.

The propane hose on my 1987 runs from the propane locker in the aft lazarette, down to and through an opening by the rudder post, along the hull under the aft water tank platform, into the aft cabin under the mattress platform, through the small locker under the seat on the starboard side in the aft cabin, through a drilled hole in the bulkhead between the aft cabin and galley, then up to the stove. Until I made a tool storage compartment aft of that locker, the only drilled hole is in the bulkhead between the aft cabin and galley. Photo of the locker is attached for reference.

The propane detector I installed is a Xintex Fireboy S-1A with a plug in sensor and solenoid. I extended the Teak facia covering the holding tank pump out hose a few inches and mounted it there. Photo of the installed display is attached for reference.

K,

If you need access behind the (former) oven (now) nuke, to run a snake to pull a hose you might do what some 30 owners have done.  Our exh hose runs behind our oven and it gets impossibly jammed in place.  So to replace the hose some have cut an access hole in the liner to get at and free the hose, then installed a Beckson access plate, which would be hidden by your nuke.  And the Admiral  could hide the jewels there.

Or possibly a smaller hole (just for the hose or receptacle box,) might be enough to work a snake to the path it needs to follow?

Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did.
