The Oberdorfer would be rated 600 GPH, compared to what?  In line with the smallest bilge pump, but a far far cry from, say, a Rule 2000.  But in an emergency, or to augment the flow with an electric pump, "any pump in a storm."

Has anybody looked at these:

Fits around the prop shaft. I would guess that clearance on a boat the size of a C34 would be a challenge. But the claims are pretty impressive.

In this thread I missed the discussed about the use of a bucket. Not sure about how many GPM a sinking sailor can bail out?
