Guys : Even the earlier model "Whale Gusher" pumps are easy to repair. 
Just order the repair kit from Whale.

The only problem I had with Whale was that you can't get an individual part, you have to order the whole kit and there is more than one kit so you may wind up having to buy two kits and only need one part out of each.
