Solid floor is much easier to keep clean

The trick with an inflatable floor is to cover it with outdoor carpeting.

By now, you've gotten the "Complete List of Do's and Don'ts" about dinghies.  More could be said, but these responses are just about the best I've seen in such a small amount of time.

We keep our air floor deflated and covered on the cabintop afore the mast until we use it.  We've had it inflated upside down over the V berth hatch and can still open it.  Dark a tad, though.  

Your boat, your choice.

We have gone the same route as most here.
Hypalon with floor panels, weighed about 100 lbs. lasted 13 years.
Replaced with a Highfield RIB PVC.
Huge difference in weight and handling. If you ever decide to go with davits, it's the only way to go.

Thanks for all the help.  Ended up with a Zodiac Aluminum panel floor dingy.
