Exchange boat holiday time

Hello all....here's an interesting idea. I have a fully loaded 1998 C34 in great shape with all the toys on Lake Ontario, near Toronto. Unfortunately it gets very little use due to my work schedule. I would love to loan it out to other C34 owners from this board to holiday on if they are considering Lake Ontario as a possible summer holiday destination. The dates would be flexible and available most of May, June, July, August,and September of 2003.The only non available time would be a couple of weeks during those months that we are using the boat for our personal summer holidays. In exchange my wife and I would use your boat(for the same amount of exchange time)if it is located in warmer climates this winter, anytime between November 2002 to April of 2003. Just browsing throught the pages and came upon your idea.  We live in Los Angeles and just bought a C34 after 20 years with our C22. Although this boat is loaded and super clean there are many glitches to fix on a used boat. A boat exchange sounds like a great idea, not only for the US but Europe as well.  Have you had many responses?  Has the idea taken off at all.  Would love a response

We had a few replies, but not as many as you might expect.I talked with a gentleman from Florida for a while but my schedule at work became extremely filled and I dropped the ball for a while. It seemed like a good idea at the time and I still belive that it would work. I guess that most people have difficulty trusting some one else with their boats, but they should consider that these people that they don't trust are boat owners as well and would probably take care of the equipment (unlike renters)
