Wondering if anyone can give me approximate dimensions of the transom on the 1988 Catalina 34?  I'm trying to figure out how large to purchase the boat name and hailing port.  I took the measurements last weekend, but of course have lost them.  I'm most interested in width at top and about halfway down.  Doesn't have to be exact, just approximate.  My boat is 100 miles away, and since my daughter's getting married this weekend, I won't be able to get those measurements again until the next weekend!  Thanks for any info you can provide!

If you can wait until Sunday, I have a race this Sat and I have a 1988 year also. My Boat name is on the side hull  and my city name is on the Transom
Have a nice wedding, daddy...

Sorry, forgot to send this sooner.  Took measurements last night.  The hull width at the transom immediately below the rub rail is 68 in.  The rub rail arches up to be a few inches higher at the center line.  At a point 20 inches below the rubrail, the width is 59 in.
If you didn't get figures already, hope this helps.
I put the name on my boat this spring - two lines of lettering for the name, and hailing port below.  Just squeezed in above the ladder supports without looking squashed.  Also had to juggle the letters a smigeon off center to avoid the gas bottle vents.
Hope the wedding went well.

Thanks for everyone's help and advice.  I finally decided to put Suzie-Q's name on the sides after all, and of course the hailing port on the transom.  As Ron Hill and John Gardner pointed out, with the vents and swim ladder to work around, it just seemed that it would work out better that way.  Thanks again everybody!
