Aloha, I haven't been here in awhile so hope this is a new topic and I haven't missed someone else doing this last week!
It was an easy install and gave me lots of storage between the hull and liner to store bathroom stuff.
The frame came from Go2Marine...hope the pics come thru...enjoy :D

I have put this off for -- years. Still have a lot of ice on Erie so I can get this done before the ice is gone. Thanks for the push to get this done.

Susan : Good work and it shows that you've been reading the old Mainsheet tech notes!!

I did the same back in 1990/91 after seeing it done - great lost storage !!

What are the dimensions of that frame and door?  Is there a reason you didn't go with the louvered door?  Just wondering.
Did you use the space inside as it was or install a base and shelf?

Thanks
Steve

Sorry I haven't answered sooner. The dimensions are 7" x 15" but you can do a 12' x 12" with louvers also. This was the least expensive one is why I used it. I suppose you could glue a shelf inside but I just loaded bath stuff in bags and put in. Just make sure and block the stern inside as stuff will fall through to the area between hull and liner. Good luck!

Steve : I used another door and frame like the one for the toilet paper.

Then I found a small tan waste basket and cut off the top and part of the side to line the inside.  I screwed the waste basket in from the inside so it also holds the door frame in place.
The depth of that space between the liner and the hull is about 6 inches!!

Another thought!

We did approximately the same, except that I think our door was wider.
We keep a nylon draw string bag in there that we stuff our dirty laundry in.
