Hi Steve,

We have a 2002 MkII and same as Roc the hose from the head went first aft and then looped around to go forward to the tank. When we had a larger tank made for us, I took out this old line and put a new more direct one in. The old hose was ten (10) feet long! It potentially stored a lot of crap in it! My new one is only five (5) feet long and maybe not as direct as Roc's. I took it out the back (towards port) and up through the hanging locker and then down into the tank. I wanted a bit of a loop so that the only back pressure on the head was the two feet or so that was in the hose. The handle on the head locks, but life with kids always leads to uncertainties.

Frederick,
I haven't noticed any issue with back pressure because the hose leaves the toilet at a right angle, toward the bow.  Actually, Catalina had run the hose at a right angle toward the stern.  I just flipped it over to the other direction.
