Thinking about getting a new mainsail cover.  Is this pretty much a custom job from any canvas guy or is there someone who already has the pattern since there are so many C-34's?
Who would I get the Catalina logo from to put on the cover?

Chuck : Don't know where you are on the Potomac, but there are canvas places in Alex, Va / Annapolis and Deltaville.  I'd give them my old one and have them make it "same same" or with any of your changes.

You can get the Catalina logo from Catalina factory parts.  The new logo is of much better quality compared to the 1986/90s originals !!!  A few thoughts

Thanks Ron.  Actually, there's a couple good people near by.  I just thought there may be someone who has the template ready to go since there are so many C-34's.

Chuck, do not rely on a template.  Have someone measure for YOUR boat.  For instance, I have a Harken Batt Car system on my main.  My headboard is about eighty feet higher than a "standard" headboard when the sail is flaked.  I need an extension ladder to put my halyard on the headboard. :D :D :D

Chuck, you may want to have a look at a "stack pack" as a sail cover option. Very convenient.  Probably not a lot more money.

I'd check with Catalina. When I was there in December, they had several covers. All with the big C-34 logo on them.

I went online to Catalina and didn't see the logo available.  Is it a different website?
I sent them an email as well...no response.

Ken Juul

They respond better to phone calls.  Make sure you call the Fla location, most of the parts have been moved there.  Phone number is on Catalina's web site, or search the board, it's been posted before.

Chuck,
One more note. I don't think the Catalina warehouse has a website. You may have been looking at Catalina Direct which is a good source for some parts but a different company.
The number for the Catalina warehouse in Florida is 727-544-6681and the guy I usually talk to is Warren, he's very helpful.

waterdog,
Do you have the Stack Pack??  I've been looking at different lazy jax syatems and the stack pack and think the stack pack makes more sense.  If you have one, how do you like it and how does it preform under sail??
Not trying to hijack the thread, just get info..........

I had a stack pack on a charter boat.  Ok except it made reefing much more difficult working around the fabric to get the foot hooked.  Also if you are anal about neat proper flaking, don't bother.

Checkout sailrite. I used their design for a cover that the sail drops right into.
