Thanks Stu. I like the cleaning and reresining idea and to put it in perspective here is the price quote from UK for a new sail and "Lazy Cradle". I was told that this price would be reduced by up to 25% at the boat show. Translated into US $ the price would be about 10% less. But the main point is that even without the cradle and waiting for the anticipated (but not guaranteed) boat show price, you would have to find well over $3000 US plus tax for a new main.
