I am the proud new owner of a 2000 MKII 34.  I keep AC running around the clock in the SE Louisiana humidity and noticed that my bilge usually fills up almost daily.  Being new to boats with central AC, is my AC producing enough condensate/water to fill up bilge? i checked packing and all other possible sources of leaks and found none.  We also have had minimal rain in last 2 weeks since i bought her.  Thanks for any help in advance.  SEA VU PLAY, scott

Yes, the a/c will squeeze an amazing amount of water out of the humid air. Our a/c unit, which is located under the v-berth, drains into the bilge and will keep the pump busy on humid days.

There is a unit called a Mermaid Condensator that Defender sells that will solve the condensation problem.

BTW, congrats on the new boat, and welcome to the site.

Thanks Bob. My AC is also located below my V berth.  The condensator seems like the problem solver. I have a bucket full of questions with my new boat!   Scott

Well you've certainly come to the right place for answers.

There is a wealth of information in the Tech Notes, Wiki, and also on this forum. Most of the Project Area and the Faq Area have been transfered over to the Wiki for easier browsing.

A quick search of this forum will also turn up previous topics that have been asked and answered by the members of the C34 community. Many of these Forum threads have also been migrated over to the Wiki.

Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome and congratulations on your new boat.

I recommend that you review the "sticky" topic "The GUIDE to the C34 Website..." (http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,2629.0.html)  and spend some time browsing around the major areas of the website.

We look forward to your questions and know we can help you with anything you need.
