Fresh water pump

I need to replace the existing fresh water pump which is a Shurflo 2088-723-244.
Is there a quieter fresh water pump then this one ?

Lot of people have spoken highly of the Shurflo 5.7 smart sensor.  Look online at RV stores for the best price.

Paul : Your only other choice in fresh water pumps that I know of is a Flowjet - there may be lesser brands. I HAVE A FLOWJET. 
Don't think either Shurflo or Flowjet have a spec listing for decibels!! 
Check your pumps rubber "motor mounts".  The pumps viberation can be heard from poor mounts, because the plywood acts as a sounding board viberating to the hull. 
You might think about an accumulator tank if you're tired of hearing the pump turn on so much.

I've been looking into this as well.  I have a few options, and will post them later when I have the WM catalog in front of me.  You have more than two choices:  Shurflo, Jabsco, Flowjet(?) and WM, among others.

The basic choices are:  same pump (which they've stopped making), same KIND of pump (runs when the faucet's open), or newer variable flow pumps (doesn't need an accumulator tank to avoid the noise).

The other choices have to do with flow rate and pressure.  The OEM Shurflo you mention was for, as I recall, about 3.0 gpm.  I'll check the specs again to confirm.  But I see no reason to not get one with 2.0 gpm, because how often do you have your galley running when someone's in the shower?  Unless, the pressure is too little, and the 2.0 gpm pumps are only good for 30 psi, whereas the larger gpm pumps push 55 psi.

I've done my "homework" - like, finding the 1998 and 2008 and 2009 WM catalogs.

Yes, we have the same original pump.

Here's my read:

1.  Our Shurflo has been "verry, verry good to me!"  So why switch brands?

2.  The footprint MAY, just MAY be the same, making installation easier.

3.  The pumps from all manufacturers now seem to have adapters for different hose connections.  Check what you have first.  But don't spend $$ on new ones if you don't have to.

4.  Given the limited space down there, the arrangement of the outlets of the pump may well be critical.  The same manufacturers seem to have the same outlet arrangements, even on their new pumps.

5.   The Shurflo choices are
   a) Aqua King – 3.0 GPM @ 45 psi   $120
           b) Extreme Series – 4.0 GPM @ 50 psi $190

6.  A two fixture boat hardly needs more than 2.0 GPM, how often do you run both faucets at one time?

7.   Is it worth $70 to MAYBE not hear the pump run?  How many of us have actually installed accumulators?  I LIKE hearing the pump RUN, it tells me if there's a LEAK.

Your boat your choice.

I'm going with the $120 Aqua King.
