Dorade Project Again...

Just waiting on the new stainless steel cowl vents (backordered), but thought I'd share what the dorades look like after Cetol.  The African mahogany is very close to the color of the teak grab rails, but the dorades themselves are much darker.  I'll see how well they work when the cowl vents get here.  With the hot summers we get in Texas its got to help!.

Mariner's Hardware could not seem to get the new round stainless steel cowl vents from China, so after 4 months I gave up.  Minnie's in SoCal had a set of low profile ABI vents in "Titan Tuff Gold".  Not my choice of finish, but for $59 I can put up with them for awhile.  I can feel the breeze coming though the vents, but they really need to be larger.

Still, I'm happier with these vs. the old plastic dorades...
